A new journey begins...
I have started a new phase in my life. I am now a college graduate.
Whoa.
This is new indeed.
I figure, with all the spare time I have without classes, that I should start a blog. I will probably get bored of writing my blog before long and this will end, but for now you can read my general life updates and musings if you wish.
Not only am I a graduate, I am also an intern. I have started working for a studio here in Chicago, and so far everything is going great. It is my second day here, and everyone has been really welcoming and friendly. While interning here, I am going to learn Nuke. I already know the basics of Rotoscoping through a few projects I have tackled, and rotoscoping and compositing in Nuke seems like the next logical step. I am a few hours worth of tutorials in, and so far so good. I am unfamiliar with node based programs, so its a learning process for me, but I am eager to explore more.
What else is new in my life...
Not much. I am on the job hunt, so if you know of anywhere that is hiring enthusiastic entry level animators or motion graphic artists, please pass along my information. I am open to working anywhere for the most part. I would love to see more of the United States, or other countries.
I will also be embarking on a fitness journey while I am only employed a few days a week. I really have no excuse to be unhealthy. Maybe if I am really diligent, I will attain that elusive beach body by the time it's warm enough outside for me to hang out at Chicago's beaches. Wish me luck (and more importantly, fortitude)!
